The GHS Board of Trustees is a Board of "governance." This means their work is primarily long-range and strategic in nature. The Board delegates authority for daily operations to their one employee, the Head of School (HOS).
The GHS Board of Trustees meetings are usually held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m.
The Board fulfills a critical business purpose. They ensure the fiscal health of the school and guide long term initiatives. Because of this, the Board seeks trustees who have a wide range of experience and perspective. As a volunteer position, this is a great way to help shape GHS for the benefit of many generations of students to come!
Within the school, the Board provides the strategic vision for three Working Committees: the Development (Fundraising) Committee, the Marketing Committee, and the Facilities Committee. Each of these committees have a Board Liaison, a Staff member, and volunteers.
This is just a small glimpse of what the GHS Board of Trustees does. If you are interested in Board service, please contact the Board at ghsboard@goldenhillsschool.net.
