Board of Trustees
GHS Academy Board of Trustees is a Board of “governance.” This means their work is primarily long-range and strategic in nature. The GHS Academy Board of Trustees delegates authority for daily operations to their one employee, the Head of School (HOS).
The GHS Board of Trustees meetings are held at the school on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m.
The Board fulfills a critical business purpose. Because of this, the Board seeks members who have a wide range of business experience and perspective. This is a great way to help shape GHS for the benefit of many generations of students to come!
The Board oversees the activities of three Advisory Committees: the Development (Fundraising) Committee, the Marketing Committee, and the Facilities and Grounds Committee. Each Board member has the responsibility of taking the lead oversight role on a GHS Advisory Committee. Typically this responsibility is assigned as a result of a particular skill set, training or experience that a member brings to the board.
